Exmoor's coastline, with its dramatic cliffs and bays, offer excellent walks, quiet coves, some superb beaches and
spectacular views.
High Exmoor,
Tarr Steps, the Doone Valley and Simonsbath, Lynmouth and coastal Exmoor are all very easy to reach.
Exmoor's Wimbleball
Lake (Wimbleball Lake) provides trout fishing and water sports - sailing, rowing, canoeing, windsurfing and star gazing.
Clatworthy Reservoir (less than 2 miles) provides excellent
trout fishing.
Walking, horse riding, cycling and other outdoor pursuits are enjoyed along quiet country lanes (yes, with grass in the middle) and the many local footpaths and bridleways. Bring your dogs and horses with you to West Withy Farm.
Exmoor has many
good pubs / restaurants - The Rock Inn, The Quarryman's Rest and The Royal Oak. Just ask for our current favourites.
The surrounding villages of Wiveliscombe, Bampton, Dulverton and Brompton Regis provide provisions - there are great butchers.
Supermarkets deliver to the farm and a wet fishmonger visits on a Tuesday.
Taunton and access to the M5 are around half
an hour's journey time.
